A silver paperclip chain carries most of the distance — elongated rectangular links, unhurried, catching a shine like moonlight caught on water. Then, for the last stretch before the clasp, it hands off to colour: tiny lime-green seed beads trading places with soft-pink crystals, one after another, until they settle into a single silver sphere — small and moon-pale at the centre of it all.
